The Series that was Good at the Start, but now it's in the bottom of the Pit.

If any one is a Star Wars fan and had a Play Station 2 when they were little, they would remember about the first Star Wars Battlefront. While the game was very limited, since there was only maps where you could play on the ground, and not in space. There would then be Star Wars Battlefront 2, which was also on the Play Station 2, Xbox 360, PlayStation Portable (PSP), etc. This had both space and land map's, while also having the player being able to use some of the hero classes, such as the Jedi and Sith.

Both of these games also have many mods created by the fan's. There would then be several other Battlefront type games on the PSP, which were Star Wars Battlefront Renegade Squadron and Star Wars Battlefront Elite Squadron.

Then there is the newest game, Star Wars Battlefront  which many fan's have been begging for. Once it was out, most people started to dislike it due  to the repetitive game play.

There is a fan game that is being announced called Star Wars Battlefront Galaxy in Turmoil, which has gotten the backing of Valve for distribution. The only possibility that the game would be cancelled is if Disney does a Cease & Desist.

Games in the Sports World

There's a major field of video games that may sometimes be underestimated- sports. Many sports games have sold tremendously, such as FIFA, Madden NFL, NBA, and even Wii Sports. Video games revolving around sports can be fun for someone who loves the sport, the players, or even just the action itself. If someone has an injury, playing can help them relieve their stress and make their recovery more enjoyable. The games can also help players see their field from all different types of viewpoints that they never actually get to see. Sports games can really sell, as FIFA 14 and 15 scored number one in the UK charts. If you haven't checked out any of these games, you really should to see if they'll be your new favorite.

Who want's to be in the Matrix?

At one point or another, some people would like to do thing's similar to the Matrix in a first person shooter, such as dodging bullets. What if there was an fps that did that in a certain way? That game would be Superhot.

While I haven't personally played it, I have seen some video's of other people playing it. While this is a first person shooter it actually differ's from other major fps titles such as Call of Duty. It's still the same concept, shoot the enemy to progress, but the catch is that the enemy moves only when you move.

This is amazing by itself, but another thing that is different in this game is that it includes physics and a way to see the path of every bullet, which are able to help the player determine where the bullet will go. From article's written about the game, it look's interesting, since the game makes you love it and sometimes hate it.

The most surprising thing is that this game was originally created for the 7 Day FPS Challenge, and with a limited budget. Superhot would later be properly approved by Valve for distribution, and is now available for Mac, PC, and Xbox One. 

Black Ops 1 Remastered to Xbox One

Call of Duty Black Ops 1 is finally back on XBOX one and is working as a game for backwards compatibility. Firstly, its important to note that the actual shooting, running, weapons and grenades, etc. all work flawlessly. The Call of Duty gun play is the most responsive in gaming. Period. But that itself is not enough. With games becoming more and more complex, exponentially adding variables to the overall experience, perfectly tuned shooting game play alone does not make a game fun. My feelings on this game are all over the place, but I still liked it a lot; as an overall experience, BOPs delivers a tense narrative, while sacrificing well-designed game play. This is due to one very large problem, made up of a bunch of little problems, in the actual foundation of the game: poor game play scripting.

Overwatch is Out Now!

       Overwatch is finally out now. The full game was released yesterday, May 24th. Fans compare it to Team Fortress, which is also a very popular and beloved classic. Overwatch seeks to give its players years of entertainment, and contains a high potential online multiplayer game mode.

       Overwatch is a first person multiplayer shooter created by Blizzard Entertainment. The game offers four different game modes, the first being Assault, in which the attacking team has to try to capture two point's while the defending team has to prevent them from capturing the point's. Escort has the attacking team try to take their VIP, or payload to the other side of the map, while the defending team has to prevent them from escorting their VIP or payload. The third mode is a combination of Assault and Escort, in which the attacking team has to capture point's before being able to move their objective. The final game mode is Control, in which both team's have to compete for a control point until one team get's it to 100%. 

       Overwatch offers a variety of activities and game modes, which make it very worth the price tag. I hope others are as excited as I am for this long awaited game.

Video Games... A good form of relaxation?

When you think of video games, you probably think of loud, action games that gamers can spend hours on. And spending hours in front of a television doesn't sound like the healthiest thing either. But what if that's not completely true? What if video games could actually calm your nerves or help you relax?
Games range from mobile, online, or your good old TV consoles. Games on your phones can really help you out with your nerves. They're distracting and convenient, so they can help if you're waiting for a phone call, or an interview, or anything else that can stress you out.
Have you ever played a game of online chess? Maybe not the first thing that comes to mind when you hear the words, "video games" but still something to play nonetheless. Chess can be incredibly relaxing and fun if you're feeling stressed. Other relaxing online games include Bejeweled (which is actually featured on many airplanes that include televisions), Sudoku, crossword puzzles, etc.
There are also many console games that are relaxing. According to inverse.com, the game Dear Esther includes a puzzle of getting lost in a beautiful landscape. It's relaxing, challenging, and fun for players. Another game includes Proteus, which is similar to Dear Esther but is more pixelated and takes place in a forest.
Of course, everybody is different but if you're struggling to find a way to relax and love video games, they may be perfect for you. Make sure to try different games and see what suits you best personally.

The Xcom Series

For some individual's who are interested in a strategy game that put's you in charge of humanity's right against a group of varying Alien's, from snakelike being's to pure muscle brutes, then this is the game for you.

The first Xcom game called Xcom: Enemy Unknown was on the PC, in which the player, also known as the Commander, is in charge of a multinational organization called Xcom, in order to repel against the Alien invasion. There was also an expansion to Xcom called Xcom: Enemy Within, in which you are now given more Classes for your soldier's in Xcom. The new classes are the Mech-Trooper's, which are mechanized soldier's, and the Psyonic Soldier's, who are capable of using psyonic abilities that several Alien's posses.

Xcom 2 follow's the original Xcom game, by having you lose the war against the Alien's due to the large number of defeats. You are now in charge of a new Xcom organization that are trying to rebel against the Alien occupation.

In both games you are able to customize the way that your soldiers look, along with what weapon's they will use. They also have you be in charge of managing a base of operation's, along with your limited resources, and also on what research you will be working on. While this may be something that many people would probably play in easy, it's to be expected, since the Alien's will be brutal in their assault against you, such as introducing new unit's to fight against every couple of matches.

The series also has a large number of mods that will allow for interesting games, such as the Long War mod for the first Xcom. Both games also allow for multiplayer matches, which allow you to use different classes for each side.

Assassins Creed Syndicate The Next Infinite Warfare

Assassin's Creed Syndicate was released on October 23, 2015 but I for one did not buy it because it had lacked the multiplayer aspect and had implemented futuristic gadgets which the franchise is not known for. The carriages are a big thing here. Not only can you grab or hijack one to get you from A to B in half the time, but certain missions – and all kidnap missions – involve speeding away from pursuing Blighters with their own wheels to use. This is a lot of fun in short doses, as you weave your way through the horse-drawn traffic, side-swiping or shooting the enemy to wipe them off your tail, with responsive controls and all those great London sights to speed on past.

Uncharted 4: A Thief's End is here!

          Released on April 26, Uncharted 4 received near perfect ratings from IGN, GameSpot and MetaCritic. Naughty Dog's excellent pacing of action is what makes the game receive such high reviews. The story unfolds at a good pace, mixing up locations and characters when and where required, but there are instances when a puzzle is repeated one too many times or a stretch of traversal goes on too long. Uncharted 4 is far from a slog, but shaving fifteen minutes from a handful of chapters could have made the game even leaner. Early on, Uncharted 4 hops quickly from time period to time period, chapter to chapter, in an attempt to set things up but also rush to the story proper. Once Sam and Nate are reunited the game settles into a nice rhythm that builds and builds until a thrilling climax, not overplayed like its predecessors, that ties together the game's themes of obsession and fulfilment brilliantly. As the end of Nathan Drake's story, it couldn't have been better handled, and the epilogue – well, it's a scene you won't forget in a hurry. If you haven't played any Uncharted games, you are definitely missing out. However, you can just hop right in even if its a sequel.

New 'Tetris' Movie: Great Idea or Epic Fail?

We all remember the pain in our thumbs after pushing on the keys of our flip phones for hours. The frustration when we only needed one piece, and, of course, it never came into view on our small screens. Many of us have probably forgotten about this old game and replaced our distractions with Angry Birds and 8 Ball Pool. However, our beloved game is making a return... but with a slight change. According to idigitaltimes.com, Larry Kasanoff has come up with the brilliant idea to turn Tetris into a Sci-Fi film. Of course, this isn't the first video game related movie to be produced. Wreck-It-Ralph, for example, was a big hit among viewers. The same can't be said for the newer Angry Birds film, which received a 57% on rotten tomatoes. Kasanoff reported to the Wall Street Journal that, "This isn't a movie with a bunch of lines running across the page." So what exactly is the plot of this film? A world belonging to the player of the Tetris game? An apocalyptic scenario in which people are getting killed from giant blocks falling from the sky? The success for this film doesn't seem too likely. What's your opinion about this upcoming movie?

Call Of Duty Infinite Warfare Has 1.5 Million Dislikes

Call of  Duty Infinite Warfare is the most disliked game in the history of all video games. The people want a game that goes into the past not the future and Activision is giving them a game exactly opposite than that of what people want. However, CEO Eric Hirshberg states that obviously it isn't good to have this many dislikes but at least we know that this game has the best community built around it where people who play the game actually care about what the game looks like.

Overwatch Beta

The Overwatch Beta has been out from May Fifth to May Tenth. After playing a couple of rounds of the Overwatch Beta (at least on the PS4's version) I can say that it has it's up's and down's.

Just to sum up what Overwatch is, it's a first person multiplayer shooter created by Blizzard Entertainment. The game offers for different game modes, the first being Assault, in which the attacking team has to try to capture two point's while the defending team has to prevent them from capturing the point's. Escort has the attacking team try to take their VIP, or payload to the other side of the map, while the defending team has to prevent them from escorting their VIP or payload. The third mode is a combination of Assault and Escort, in which the attacking team has to capture point's before being able to move their objective. The final game mode is Control, in which both team's have to compete for a control point until one team get's it to 100%. This would be played in a best of three.

There is a big number of playable character's that are put into four classes, Offense, Defense, Tank, and Support. While the large number of playable characters is something that many people would enjoy, this may get boring after several matches, since there are not that many way's to play the character's in new and interesting way's. This may be biased, but I'm a gamer who has also played Team Fortress 2, which is similar to Overwatch, but there are different way's to play certain character's in the game, making it new and fresh every time.

Battlefield takes its audience back to trench warfare in WW1

       FINALLY!!! Moving away from futuristic gameplay, battlefield 1 takes a step back to WW1. It has been requested for a few years now, and finally is being developed. The trailed which was released May 6, and has already received more likes on YouTube than any other trailer. Call of Duty, on the other hand, have gotten over 1.5 million dislikes for the recent Infinite Warfare.

       EA will have a playable demo at the EA Play event on June 12 at the Electronic Entertainment Expo in June. You can get early access to the Battlefield 1 public beta test later this year by signing up for the Battlefield newsletter. Is anyone else as excited as I am??

Disney Cancels 'Infinity'

Disney recently revealed that they will be cancelling their 'Infinity' video game serious. According to engadget.com, Disney stated that "lower results" made this move. That can be analyzed that the games weren't selling well and were also expensive to produce. There will be two last releases before the games discontinue- one for Disney's new Alice movie and one for the new Finding Dory movie. Unfortunately, this also isn't the first time Disney's quit on the gaming world. Disney has been struggling financially for a good amount of time, but the games were a cute reflection on loved Disney movies. Do you think this will have any effect on people in the gaming world?
